One issue is that some financing sources may not finance cars with SALVAGE or REBUILT titles. I found a nice car, decent prince, trusted the dealer, but the credit union wouldn't finance and I wasn't willing to pay THAT much in cash at one hit.

Unit ZER0 says:

Not sure about my car… I was in a collision that was not enough to total it, and I did most of the disassembly work myself. The damage was to the front, and when I removed the inner bumper, I found leaves inside the front subframe. At some point in the past, this thing had sat somewhere with its front end disassembled long enough for leaves to collect… Also, the rear bumper has chalk writing on the inner surface. I'm pretty sure it was in a crash before I got it, but the carfax said nothing. every time I take things off to modify or replace them, I keep finding oddities like that, or missing bolts in places where it's not structural…

Shutt up! I always had salvage cars never had issues, went to dealer in 2018 August bought Lexus from dealer GS350 2016 and guess what on two months take it to tint shop and they tell me and show me how my car was rear ended bad. But fixed good at least. So clean title but cherry poped.
