DIY – How to make your own Baby Wash Cloths

Thanks! Share it with your friends!

I was making some wash cloths for our baby to be and thought I would tape myself so you can see how easy and inexpensive it is. I couldn’t believe $12 for 8 wash cloths at the store and a $1 for 4 even at the dollar store.
I made 30 wash cloths for $3 and about 30 to 45 minutes of my time. I still have lots of fabric left over if I wanted to make more too.

I realized I spoke a little fast in this video so I added in my dialog to the description here.
“Hey guys so today I thought I’d show you how to make baby wash cloths
First you want to choose your size
I choose 8″ by 8″
Now because I am making a bunch I just marked my cut lines with a washable marker and used my electric cutter so I could get through more layers
Once I was done the first cut I layered all the pieces on top of each other and measured again. Make sure your layers are flat and smooth
I am using a single sided terry cloth fabric for this style. I got this for $3 a meter at my local fabric store.
Once you have your stack of cloths all cut out head on over to your serger. I used a rolled edge stitch on my serger and just kept going through the stack on one side, then cut the tails and would repeat for the other 3 sides
If you do not have a serger you can use a zig zag stitch on your sewing machine and just work very close to the edge.
But there you have simple easy baby wash cloths at a fraction of the price to buy them
Thanks for watching and remember if you want to see more videos like this one hit that subscribe button.”
